You're right about Sammy, he has an outline which makes him look fake. The new lenses look great BTW. Love shot number 25 of Maddie floating in the pool all alone.

Lol how far up did you go that you saw snow? That's insane.
I read that they are having the same problem with spring thaw in Montana. Oh well, maybe next time for both of us.

Glad you were able to get your line wet. 6 months is a long time!!! I played hooky from work Friday and went fishing, before Carrie and Aiden flew back into town Saturday. Karma bit me in the ass. I had a disastrous day. Long story, but basically my car got stuck in the snow (in the middle of June!!!!) on the road to the trailhead. Tow truck came and got me out, but not before having to free himself from the same spot. 2 hours later, I'm free and hiking my way towards the river, only to discover it was completely blown out. All the late snow we got this Spring was starting to melt and the water was running super high and muddy. Totally unfishable. I made the best of it and got in a nice hike into the mountains, but so much for fishing.

Nice shots. Looks like you were using the wide angle lens on a few of those. Is that an HDR image with the dock and trees just before the canoe shot?

High winds kept you up all night eh? Try high winds, below freezing temperatures, and the sound of animals lurking outside your tent! Haha. Sounds like you guys had fun tho. That's good. Get em ready for the Sierra's in a few years when they come visit.

Smell was not nearly as bad as you'd think. What amazes me is that the sharks don't go crazy on the dead fish. I've seen smaller fish kills before on the flats and never see sharks on those fish either. Must be something about how the fish dies that they don't like. Or maybe they just get full quick and we don't see them during the initial feeding (doubt it though).

Damn, what a bummer about the fish kill. Does it smell terrible? Too bad about that damn gate too. Must be a way to find out the schedule or make an appointment so you don't waste the drive out there...
